The Adama Water Supply and Sewerage Services Enterprise (AWSSSE) has secured matching fund from Oromia National Regional Government, Adama city Administration from its own and loan through Water Resource Development Fund (WRDF) for the design and construction of Adama Town Water Supply and Sanitation Project.

The town’s socio economic condition has been improving and showing dramatic changes especially due to the existence of Adama University, Adama- Addis Ababa Express way, the Addis AbabaDjibouti rail way, strategic location for Addis Ababa –Djibouti highway, Wonji Sugar factory and the like. These are the major indicators that show Adama town is in a drastic social, economic development.

The general objective of the Consultancy service is to implement Water Supply Project in Adama-Wanji for an increased access to improved water supply and sanitation services for residents of the town & surrounding. It is to assist the client and the user town water board, municipality and the utility in design review, capacity building & preparation of business plan, social and environmental assessment and in contract administration & supervision of works, supply and installation of equipment participating the key stakeholders at all stages for implementation of sustainable water supply and sanitation services in the town. Implementation of the project will also ensure social and gender inclusion
